Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected items. Your order details are printed onto paper and sent to you along with your order. Your order details are also stored on a server in which all data files are encrypted. We must keep a record of your order for future queries by you about your order, the prevention and detection of fraud, for events such as a product recall and for inspection by the relevant government taxation bodies. We also send out an occasional news letter in which we inform you about special offers and keep you up to date with things at ShimmerFX Limited. Functionality is built into the news letter to make it easy for you to unsubscribe. Pictures and Descriptions ShimmerFX Limited does not guarantee descriptions to be completely accurate and denies all liability. Typos can happen and we apologise if there is a misrepresentation. All prices, descriptions, and pictures can change without notice.
Is our site secure?
Yes. More secure than most.
As you proceed through the checkout pages of our site you will notice that the address in your browser changes to:
https://select.worldpay.com/wcc/purchase
This means that the page where you enter your credit card details is not actually on our server but on the WorldPay (Royal Bank of Scotland) server.
We never even see your credit card details. The transaction is carried out directly between you and Worldpay.
This means that even if someone was to break into our offices and carry away our web servers, your credit card details would be safe.
We have no way of charging your credit card again or increasing the amount of the original charge, even if we wanted to.
Delivery & Returns:-
We do not ship outside of the United Kingdom.
If the carrier has recorded a failed delivery and the goods are returned to us as you failed to pick up the goods within the time limits imposed by the carrier, we will treat this as a cancelled order and we will make a charge not exceeding £10.00 to cover our costs in resending these goods out to you. You will also be charged postage at our current tariff if you require the goods to be re-delivered.
We regret that we cannot be held responsible if the carrier has failed to notify you of an attempted delivery. You will need to take this up with the carrier.
In the unlikely event that your goods have been lost in transit, we are unable to refund or resend goods until our enquires have been completed. This can take up to 7 working days as a trace will need to be issued to track your goods. In most circumstances this will be resolved sooner. In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, ShimmerFX shall, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or, at their discretion, refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question PROVIDED THAT you notify shimmerfx.com of the problem in writing (quoting your Invoice number) at the address stated at the bottom of your confirmation email within 7 working days of delivery of the goods (subject to enquiries being completed).
How To Order At ShimmerFX
Ordering online is a great way to shop and very easy...it's also very safe.
Follow these easy steps for a great shopping experience!
Step 1. Choose a product
Select a category from one of the drop-down menus on the left hand side and press search or choose a shopping link on the Home Page. This will display a list of products.
Step 2. Ordering
When you find a product that you would like to buy, just click on the Add Basket icon. (Remember you can also see more information about the product by clicking on 'More Info' icon). This will add the item into your basket. The number of items and value is shown in the mini basket.
Step 3. Your Basket
When you've finished shopping click on Shopping Cart. This will take you to the full Shopping Basket. You may make any amendments here, such as changing a quantity. To continue shopping, select 'Continue Shopping'.
Then press Checkout
Step 4. Checkout
If you have already registered with ShimmerFX, tick the Already Registered box and fill in your username and password to retrieve your account details.
If you're a new customer fill in your name and address details on the form. This should be your credit card billing address. You may elect to register by entering a username and password of your choice. This has the benefit of allowing you to access your account details when you next visit.
Step 5 Delivery Address
At the Checkout confirmation page, you may use your main address (your billing card address) as your delivery address or elect to enter a new delivery address.
Step 6. Payment
We accept VISA, VISA Electron, MasterCard, American Express, Delta, Switch and Solo. Enter your card details, and remember to only press 'Process Order' once - it may take a little while for your credit card to validate via our secure server. For other ways to pay go to Order Offline.
Step 7. Order Number
You will be given a confirmation Order Number. Please keep this handy in case you need to contact us regarding your order. You will also be sent an email confirmation.
Ordering Offline
At checkout, you will be asked how you would like to pay, simply click on cheque/postal order and this will take you the confirmation page. please print off your confirmation email and send along with your payment mentod to the address provided.

Return Policy and Terms
We offer a 7 day return policy from the day you receive your order under following conditions:
Refunds and exchanges may only be made within 7 days of receiving the merchandise.
A re-postage fee will be charged for an exchange. The re-postage fee will not be charged for items which you have received faulty, damaged or wrongly packaged. The re-postage fee will be the true cost incurred by us to re-post the item to you. Postal prices are available at www.royalmail.com. We will refund the cost of postage back to us if the item was received damaged or faulty, or if we accidentally sent you the wrong merchandise, as long as the return postage costs are reasonable.
You must take care of the goods and return them to us in an unused, as new and re-saleable condition. You will have to pay for the costs of returning the goods to us unless they were received faulty or damaged, or if we made a mistake when packaging your order.
Misused or abused merchandise will not be accounted as defective and will not be considered for an exchange or refund.
If you have paid in advance and require a refund, we will refund your money within 30 days.
You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number from admin@shimmerfx.com before returning any merchandise. Note that we will not accept any merchandise sent without a RMA number.
All returns must be in original non-damaged condition, including packaging, documentation, warranty cards, manuals and accessories or else it will not be accepted. Any missing items will be subject to a replacement charge.
Returns must be received within 10 days of the RMA's issuance. Original shipping & handling charges are not refundable unless we are at fault. The customer is responsible for shipping and proof of delivery on all returns. Please be sure that return shipments are properly packed and fully insured. ShimmerFX Limited is not responsible for returned packages if lost or damaged by the shipper.
Manufacturer's warranties are processed by the manufacturer. For warranty questions, enquiries or repairs, please contact the manufacturer.
A re-postage fee will also be charged for any order that is refused on delivery or not collected by the customer. this is charged at standard delivery (as per current royal mail tariff) + £5.00 admin fees
Liability
ShimmerFX Ltd attempts to ensure that the information available on the website at any time is truthful and accurate. All dimensions stated are approximate.
ShimmerFX.com will do its best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being alerted to them.
In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, ShimmerFX Ltd shall, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question, provided that you notify ShimmerFX Ltd of the problem in writing (by letter, email or fax), at the address stated in the confirmation e-mail within 7 working days of delivery following the day of the order, or, in the case of product defect, as soon as the event occurs. NOTHING IN THIS CLAUSE AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
ShimmerFX.com does not accept liability for:
- Losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made.
- Losses that were not caused by any breach on the part of ShimmerFX.com.
- Business losses and/or losses to non consumers.
- Goods delivered to Work/Alternative addresses given by the cardholder .
- Items returned to ShimmerFX due to non collection or refusal
Manufacturer's Warranty
In the event that a product needs to be returned to a manufacturer for service or warranty work, the customer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. Please refer to manufacturer policies regarding the procedure and cost of shipping returns; please contact them for details.
Refunds
In the event that a prepaid order requires a refund that is of no fault directly associated with ShimmerFX Ltd, a refund will be issued within 30 days with a 10% admin fee deducted for payment processing administration fees..
Handling Complaints
We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and provide a likely timescale for resolving the dispute and we will keep you informed about the progress. If you wish to make a complaint about our products or services, please e-mail us in the first instance to admin@shimmerfx.com. Please provide full details of your complaint. Our aim is to provide 100% satisfaction and we rigorously investigate any complaint that you might have
